A WONDERFUL HUSBAND!

I would say that I am really blessed with my husband. He has proven to me many times already how kind-hearted he is. He treats my family as his family. One of the proofs was the incident that happened to my brother in law 2 weeks ago. Since he wasn’t given a proper care in the public hospital, we decided to move him to a private hospital. The hospital was asking for 20,000 pesos down payment. Ouch! I felt I was being robbed too. But to my surprise, my husband took 32,000 pesos out of his account and sent it to my family. I was speechless. That was too much money. I told him that he didn’t need to do it. His answer touched me so much. He said that he can not afford to see his niece and nephews living without a father and my sister without a husband. I am so thankful to God for giving me such a wonderful husband.

WORK!

I really don’t know how to describe what I feel right now regarding my work. I mean work in general is fine. I love my kids so much and I know they love me too. It’s my new partner who is giving me headache. She is one of those strange people, hard to understand. It is sad because she does not help very well. The worse thing is, she acts like a boss telling me to do this and that even when I’m busy and her, just standing doing nothing. Well, I’ll ignore her pretending I did not hear what she said until she’ll do it. She loves to talk. So, it’s pretty normal huh, since women have two mouths. But, when you are talking and forget that you have kids to take care of, I think it’s not okay anymore. I don’t know, I’m not excited to go to work anymore. I am so scared that may be tomorrow or the next day I may loose my patience. PATIENCE PATIENCE PATIENCE. This is one of the virtues that I pray for everyday.

NOT A HAPPY EASTER AT ALL!

I got a text message from my sister in the Philippines saying that our brother in law was shot. He was walking on a dark street by himself with his cellphone in his pocket, a cellphone which cost only 1,800. Two guys on a motorcycle swung by and put a gun on his side saying, “All we need is your cellphone.” Without hesitation, my brother in law gave his cellphone to them. But then these crazy guys shot him on his side right after they got the phone. They fired three more shots but my brother in law managed to jump though he is already wounded. Then these crazy guys drove away. My brother in law managed to get up and found a motorcycle (habal-habal) to take him home and tell his family what happened to him and to take him to the hospital. Right now he is in a hospital. His whole family is praying for his recovery. He has a wife and three kids.

Why there are people who can do brutal things like this? Are they really poor and starving or they are just high on drugs? To all who have read my entry, I want you to be aware and be vigilant day and night no matter where you are. I don’t want this to happen to you. In my personal observation, it seems that good guys are always in danger. Maybe because bad guys thought that good guys tend to panic, get scared, can’t fight back and just run away if they can like what my brother in law did.

Na, ambot oy! Gikapoy gyud ko pag-ayo. Nanakit na akong kalawasan sige ug trabaho. Abot sa balay trabaho lang gihapon. Sa pagkakaron, ang tanan nga naa sa akong huna-huna puro makakapoy. Kapoy sad ug ininglis oy. Di ta kapahungaw sa atong gibati. Ambot ug unsa kahay nindot nga buhaton para mawala ang kakapoy. Salamat intawon nga Friday na ugma. At least makaginhawa na ko ug gamay. Grabe sa work oy patay patay gyud nako akong lawas. Usahay saputon ko pero need man gud ko ug money para sa akong pamilya sa Pinas. Hay!!! Ambot kaya pa ba kaha ni nako oy.

Pasensya na sa makabasa ani, unya di kasabot. "I will survive". This is what I am hoping for.

STUCK!

I am so stuck to this book that I am reading right now. It is a Washington State Training and Registry System which is mandated by the Washington State Legislature. It is a basic training which every child care personnel is required to undergo. After gluing my eyes to a page or two, questions follow. Some answers are found in the book itself and some need to be researched somewhere. I don’t know. After overworking in school, I don’t want to deal with this book anymore. “I am so tired and bored of this!” That is what I wanted to scream. Bad news is, it has a deadline. And the line is almost dead which I really do not care so much for now. LOL! It’s my crooked English. But seriously, I really hate this. This is giving me headache. How I wish this fairy will do something by the power of her wand. So help me fairy. For real huh! (I’m just borrowing my co-worker’s favorite expression.)

Who is tired today? I guess everybody. If there are who are not, is should be a few. Believe me, it’s the fourth day of the week, you friends should be exhausted. And for that, you want to be in a soft, cozy, comfy place where you can close your eyes and relax.
Be totally out of this world and be somewhere else where only your brain can imagine. If you are really, really tired you can grab this soft and cozy pillow.

BIRTHDAY!

This is Aidan. Aidan turned 2 today. He is one of my toddlers. He is sweet, happy and smart. Pretty soon he’s gonna be moving to another room. And that will make me sad. But, kids grow up.

ONE OF MY DEAREST FRIEND!

This sweet couple is Sabrina and Steve. Sabrina is one of my dearest friends. She is a good helper, sweet and most of all funny. We never had dull moments when we were still together in the Philippines. Wherever we went, as long as we had each other, everything turned great. Now, she is married to a good man and has a good life. And we are miles apart. But those sweet memories that both of us shared will be cherished until the end. She will always have a special place in my heart.

FRIED RICE AND FRIED EGGPLANT!

I am really in the cooking mood today. Even if my cough and my runny nose are bugging me, it did not affect my mood. I did cook some of my favorite food today. I made fried rice mixed it with pork and shrimp. I also made fried eggplant. I put in it an egg and little bit of salted shrimp. They really came out pretty tasty even though I’m not a good cook. Or it could be a thought only, since they are my favorite. How I wish I can share this to my friends who love fried rice and fried eggplant. And then, they will decide if it is really good or not. But, I’ll tell you what, I do like it.

This face describes of what I feel right now after my husband called me informing that he is going to work this Saturday. Saturdays and Sundays are the only days that we can be together. He works nights and I work days. He sleeps days and I sleep nights. It is really hard for me. But I have no choice but to live with it.

WELCOME MY FRIEND!

My dearest friend Vivien just got back from her vacation. She was gone for awhile to see her family. I missed her, I missed her calls and I missed her being around since we didn’t have any contact while she’s gone. I am very happy to hear that she is back. I want to WELCOME HER.

I REMEMBER THIS MONTH!

I was surfing in the internet this afternoon to keep my eyes and my mind busy. I know I have things that I should get done which are more important than just surfing the internet. But my whole self is tired of working, my body hurts and my brain does not work well. Oh ohh. You think I’m crazy huh? I am not, at least not yet. Hehehe. I mean, when your body is tired, you don’t want to think of another work to do that will make you more tired. But anyway, where am I now? Here we go. Yes, I was surfing and found the picture above. It reminds me back then when I was teaching. It is almost graduation time. This month is a very busy month, especially this very week. A lot of things need to be done: grades, rankings, forms, graduation practice and etcetera. And in addition to these works, here come parents complaining why their kids are not awardees. Huh! It’s part of the fun being a teacher. And if you are the chosen one to be the emcee, which happened to many times, that is a plus burden. It was stressful but I miss it.
