TO MY HUSBAND!

A- A man that I've prayed for so many years has come to my life and that is YOU!

N- Now that I have YOU, I will always cherish YOU.

T- True love is the only thing I have for YOU.

H- Hoping that this love of mine means so much to YOU.

O- One thing that I am hoping for is always to be with YOU.

N- Night and day, I wanna love YOU and take care of YOU.

Y- Yes! Sounds crazy but that's how YOU mean to me.

HOME SWEET HOME II

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standing here outside your door
I hate disturbing you to say goodbye
But my family's waiting this Monday morn
They're excited to see me, I am goin' home
Honestly, I'm so happy that I could fly

So be merry and smile for me
What PASALUBONG you want from me
Tell me, before you let me go
'Cause I'm leaving on an airplane
In two weeks, I will be back again
Oh friends, I have to go.

CHICKEN RICE CASSEROLE

This was my lunch today, CHICKEN RICE CASSEROLE. Hmmm... Oh so good. I love it! I am more of a meat person and chicken is my favorite. Nope! It wasn't me who cook. It was our school cook. Thanks to Miss Traci for making good food everyday.

JEEPNEY

Jeepney is the most popular public transportation in the Philippines. It is originally made from the US military jeep a left over from the World War ll. It becomes a symbol of Philippine Culture.

LET'S TALK ABOUT DESSERT

A lot of my friends love cooking. They love to make different kinds of food or even desserts. They even shared to me their knowledge of cooking. But I don't know why, but for some reasons, my food does not taste as good as theirs EXCEPT for the desserts. Hmmm... I love desserts. And Fruit Salad is one of my favorites. Oh! I love it. Every time there is a family occasion, (birthdays or fiestas) check it out, Fruit Salad is always present. Well, can you blame me? It's just that I am a salad woman. I love fruits. I love sweets even though I am already sweet enough.

Anyway, to those who are like me, who love Fruit Salad, this is what I just found. Check this out http:/http://www.grouprecipes.com/s/fruit-salad/recipe/1/relevancy.

HOME SWEET HOME

Five days to wait and I'm gonna be with my family in the Philippines. Yohooo... I am super excited! I do miss them a lot. I can't wait seeing their happy faces again, talking to them and laughing with our lousy jokes. I remember those times when the family was at the beach. Those times were awesome! And of course when I'm gonna be there, we will be going to the beach again and again. It's gonna be fun! Those sweet memories of ours will be cherished as I come back here in Seattle.

Oh, time, I want you to fly fast. I wanna see all the people who are so dear to me so badly.

SIMPLE ME

My name is Gerelyn. I just arrived here in Seattle, Washington a year ago to marry my man. My birthplace is in Cebu, Philippines. I love listening music whether I'm in a happy mood or I'm in a down mood. Maybe, it sounds weird to anyone of you or maybe not. It's just that through songs, I can express what I feel. I can let go of my positive and negative emotions. I do love watching movies too excluding drama. "Why?" This song can explain. "Oh... sad movie always makes me cry." I'm just saving my tears for something or someone else. (Just.... kidding.)

I miss Filipino foods. I miss the biko, budbud, binignit, real Filipino lechon and a lot more. Hmmm... yum yum. They made me hungry.

But most of all, I miss my family.
